"THE GENERAL" LEE BRAYSHAW - BASS & VOCALS

Although I'm usually quiet and reserved, I was given the rather grand nickname "The General Lee" following my first appearance at a Free and Easy session at The Earlsdon Cottage in 1990, and it's nothing whatsoever to do with the American Civil War veteran Robert E. Lee. The irony however, given the genre of some of The Suspects music has not escaped me entirely. |
During the golden years at The Cottage, I was [in]famous for convincingly blasting out tunes sans Paul Rogers, Sting and Freddie Mercury with my band "Mister Bridger" a cracking 3 piece combo who were the resident band and also very popular on the Midlands circuit in the nineties. |

The name has stuck with me, not least because nobody ever remembers my surname. Now of course, all the new kids on the block think that really IS my first name and greet me as "General" and I accept it without hesitation. Rather like Rodney in "OFAH" when Trigger calls him "Dave" |
These days I'd rather avoid the limelight in preference of holding down a solid groove on bass for The Suspects while Mick W and Pete run circles around each other front of stage destroying each other's gear |
I also do a bit of Web design, and this is one of my sites. I also designed and maintain the site for The Albany Club, which has become my "Frankenstein's Monster" - it gets bigger and more complex as I add bits on. You can see it here. If you'd like to talk to me about building or maintaining a site you can email me using the "MisterBridger" link below, or go to my own web site leebrayshaw.com which is my latest project. I'm cheap as chips... |
